A few days ago, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls for a new world order. I don’t know what exactly he meant by saying that. But the question that always tickles my mind is why he thinks or pretends to think he is controlling the world. Obviously, the US situation in the region has emboldened Iran in many ways. But everyone, who has been to Iran, knows the order in Iran is unbearable for Iranians and Iran is far away from being able to have any effect on the WORLD ORDER. Also, you don’t usually hear these kinds of claims from clerics who in fact run the show. There is only one man with this much self-approval in the country.
There are many experts who believe the Iranian President is just an insane, ugly, bluffing war veteran. I really hate to discuss someone’s ugliness but this theory goes as something like this. He is incredibly short and ugly. That made him to work on his self-confidence since being very young. Being always ignored, he developed bluffing skill in an awkward manner to get attention and that would explain his insanity. This might be true but not the only theory about him. There are so many rumors about him from which we can build theories as convincing as the insane-ugly-bluffing theory.
One of the first things I heard about him, even before he was elected, was that he is a member of a mysterious religious group called Hojatieh. Hojatieh was formed before Iran revolution based on the idea that it is required to prepare the world for the final revolution by 12th Imam of Shea. Their original idea was that in order to hasten Imam’s appearance they need to make more disasters in the world, because he is going to save us in this world only when we are in absolute chaos. This ideology was so dangerous that the group was disbanded after the revolution. Obviously, they were not sent to prison or punished since they had earned too much credit by killing so many Baha’is and Marxists. So they must have adapted some of their ideas in order to get back into business with the clerics and have a president in charge. If this is true, Mahmoud has a superior other than the current supreme leader. He is said to be Mesbah-Yazdi, the fundamentalist Ayatollah known to be the head of Hojatieh. So! New World Order? Maybe, he just meant something new for the country. Is he giving out a message to rivals that he would announce his cultic leader as the country supreme leader, if they don’t give up? Or he is calling for the Imam to bring the New World Order?
On the other hand, some believe president’s father or grandfather was a Jew and his last name was Sabourchian (Ahmadinejad's 'Jewish Family'). He then changed his name to Ahmadi Nejad, which literally means Prophet Mohammad’s Race, in order to be safe from Islamist who hated the Jews. Then some conclude he is also an Israel agent. As unbelievable as it sounds that somebody who likes Israel off the map be their agent, some argue that whatever he has done or said was absolutely in favor of Israel and against Iran’s interest, for example: Ahmadinejad, our secret agent in Iran. This makes even more sense when you know many Arab people believe Iran and Israel are secret allies and all the harsh words are just a cover to confuse and ultimately defeat Arabs. Again some might say, Jews, not all of them, even if they have converted to Islam or they don’t even know they are Jews, are always looking for a NEW WORLD ORDER!
One of the interesting rumors about Mr. Ahmadi Nejad when elected was that he was among the students who attacked the US embassy and took the embassy workers hostage. This was even all over the news when he was going to New York. If so, then he must have been friend to many of other students like Abdi or Haghighatjoo who were revolutionary at the time and later they became reformists. Also they became allies with former presidents, Khatami and Rafsanjani. Speaking of Rafsanjani, he was also the finalist at last president election with Ahmadi Nejad and they had really talked against each other. Rafsanjani had failed in many previous elections and it should have been evident for him how much he was hated by people. So why did he ran against Mahmoud, a secret ally? Some say, Rafsanjani took revenge on Iranian people by letting them select Ahmadi Nejad over himself. He wanted the people to select between him and some stupid-looking guy who would definitely makes their lives more miserable. So if Rafsanjani didn’t win, people would regret it so badly that they would not do such a thing ever again. And still he has the power because Mahmoud is his ally. I know this looks too stupid again. But look what is done when Mr. Ahmadi Nejad was in the office. He has continued all the policies which needed to be done by someone: removing subsidies and increasing the gas price up to 500%, new income taxes which caused so much resistance in Bazaar, and nuclear plant development with all the problems that came with it. He was the person who did all the dirty things which the regime wanted them to be done. But Rafsanjani didn’t want to look bad by doing them. So he made it look like as it was being done by his sworn enemy. Bringing a new world order is what these con artists are capable of.
There are still other rumors. In a video-taped event, he was describing to an Ayatollah about the light around his head when he was addressing the nation leaders at the UN. He was explaining this as if god himself turned on an extra light projector on his face. He also wrote a letter to the 12th Imam signed it with his cabinet members and dropped it in a pit where is believed the Imam was hiding for a while. I would like to put these two rumors next to another one which was less heard. During Iran-Iraq war, Iran needed a lot of sacrifices from its soldiers and so many of them were killed by walking on the road mines or going under the tanks with explosives. There were also a lot of reports of seeing the Imam Zaman (the 12th Imam) with his horse at the war front. So at that time, the rumor was that the regime had some men to ride white horses wearing white long cloths where the soldiers were resting. Seeing the white horse and the man, soldiers who were convinced that this was the Imam were ready for the last sacrifice. Also these reports were encouraging many others to sign up to go to the war to see the Imam. Some say, the dear president, was among those white horse riders. So if true, he should have thought the Imam 12th coming and saving us is nothing but a story that some people believe in. It is just such a powerful belief that the more you cultivate it in others, the more you get powerful. It may even give you enough power so you can bring a New World Order.
I have to admit, these are all loose hypotheses and I have no real proof for any of it. I am just fascinated by all the mysteries surrounding the president and his overconfidence. Some even think people are just so jealous of the president and they make all these up. They simply say people can’t accept someone unknown, from a poor family, without any advantage to others is capable of winning an election, fighting the world empire and bringing a New World Order!
